WhatsUp Gold is used to monitor the health, performance and availability of an organization's network devices (router, network switch, firewall, printer, etc.) Linux, UNIX and Windows servers and associated applications and desktop computers. WhatsUp Gold can be installed on any system on the network and it uses a SQL Server database to store network devices and network configurations.
WhatsUp Gold is available in four editions:
Standard Edition
Standard is for single-location networks.
Premium Edition
Premium adds the ability to monitor the availability of application services on Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server servers. Premium also provides support for application monitoring using Microsoft's WMITM, which allows users to monitor performance counter values and trigger alarms based on thresholds.
Distributed Edition
Distributed extends Premium Edition to support networks that are segmented across multiple geographic locations.
MSP Edition
MSP gives managed solution providers the ability to use all of the features of WhatsUp Gold Premium Edition to monitor their customers' remote networks from a central location in the managed solution provider's network operations center.

NetFlow Analysis can provide detailed Network Analysis which was previously only available uisng a protocol analyser
Scrutinizer NetFlow Collector uses your existing NetFlow capable routers and switches to report on top applications and top hosts on specific interfaces. Scrutinizer NetFlow Analyser provides details on how much bandwidth is being consumed by each of these variables from protocols per user to users per protocol. Scrutinizer NetFlow Monitor uses NetFlow technology on your existing routers.
The pt360 Tool Suite Professional takes the design of the free pt360 and expands it, offering Cisco configuration management, higher levels of server and application monitoring, more open source and third party integration, more network management tools, more robust credential store management, more ability to save and flow results between tools, deeper network discovery (with network mapping) and syslog server capabilities - all wrapped up in the pt360 Dashboard.
